Hopefully you mention then in the next 25 but what about gayblacktravel.com and their massive facebook following and Shangelia from drag race should be on here.

I just want to give a huge Thanks to G-List Society. I am honored to be considered one of the 50 Most Impressionable, Influential & Inspirational Black LGBT Personalities Of 2012. Our community is SO IMPORTANT, and often times is overlooked…We have to be our own entrepreneurs, support system, activists, philanthropists, event planners, professionals and support one another. I am thankful to be surrounded by great supporters and partners that help me personally and business grow every year. Waddie, I thank you and your team for taking the time to sit down and compile this list. Much love and success to you in he future.

  4. It’s always nice to be recognized by your peers! Thank you Waddie G, the G-List Society team and all the other nominees! Let’s keep encouraging and supporting each other so rest of the world will recognize our extraordinary value!

What about actor/singer Jussie Smollett (jurnee’s brither) from The Skinny. He has been on so many shows now playing straight but has been openly gay. He said so openly in Tetu which is a gay magazine in France. Just saw him on The Mindy Project and does ton of work with the Black aids institute. Truly an inspiration.

Kye Allums is a trans man you might want to use the right pronouns when honoring someone

  8. Lenydia Benton says:

What an amazing group of individuals! So glad to see that there are so many people out there doing the damn thang! More importantly that they are doing it openly and authentically! I’m so honored by the work of everyone listed here! Its so exciting that there are enough of us out there doing things to even make a list! Whether your name appears here or not, each of us must remain committed to excellence and moving forward. Thank you G-List Society for highlighting some of the major talent in our community! Keep up the great work!

Thank you for researching and publishing this list. I rejoice in the knowledge that our community has so many talented people who share their talents and abilities so willingly. I suspect they are more “impressive” than “impressionable.”

I am ALAYS glad to read and hear of African-Americans whom ARE Straight Allies/Gay Allies for LGBT Americans! For some time now, there has been African-American hypocritical Fundamentalists, and hypocritical EVANGELICAL leaders with their homophobia….whom end up getting caught molestibng children! Thank YOU for this great read! :-D
