On Sunday afternoon, hundreds of visitors in New York City’s LGBT community stopped by the 5th annual GLBT Travel Expo inside New York University’s Kimmel Center. With more than 50 vendors representing travel and tourism agencies around the world and entertaining events taking place in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the event space welcomed the public to take interest in planning their future travel and social endeavors.
I met so many people at the expo. I was excited to reacquaint with representatives from Vermont Gay Tourism Association and World Pride in Toronto and connect with the like of NYC Pride and Visit Denmark. I was especially excited to finally connect with fellow LGBT media personalities at Towleroad and Elixher. I tried to not act like a fan of their work as much as possible but failed.
My “uncle” Steven Levenberg and friends Richard E. Pelzer II and Ulysses Williams of Global Network of Black Pride put together a great social and networking event, especially since travel season is picking up steam in America.
