@DamienCrawford Announces New Single With @WillSheridan

"Turnt Up" by Damien Crawford

“Turnt Up” by Damien Crawford

The G-List Society is very excited about the upcoming music releases by our LGBT music artists, but I make nooooooooooo secret that I go hard for R&B/pop singer Damien Crawford.  His 2012 album The Reign was on heavy rotation here, and the people who have yet to hear the record are simply unfortunate…but I will find a way to remedy that.

After noticing the support that he gets here at The G-List Society, Crawford reached out to me personally to apprise me that a new album is on the horizon for 2013.  Apparently, he did not lie.  Today the “Down 4 U” crooner” hit all of us supporting media via Twitter to let us know that his new single will drop in a matters of days.

Yippie!!!

Check out the announcement of the single and its surprisingly hot guest feature and release date below.

“Got 2B Real” Season Finale Is Here; @TheSkorpion & @Makael86 Grill The Divas

Mariah Carey

Aretha Franklin & Patti LaBelle

The shades and disses among R&B powerhouses Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Fantasia and Rihanna is coming to a close.  The viral online comedic series “Got 2B Real” announced the finale of the hilarious insults mocked by the voices of our favorite R&B to the dismay of loyal fans.  Part one of the series finale debuted tonight with the hosting duties performed YouTube personalities Kevin Simmons and Makael McClendon of “The Skorpion Show.”

Kevin and Makael gathers the icons and legends to reminisce the divas’ two seasons of insult-hurling, feuds and accusations. In part one, The Skorpion hosts addressed the Toni Braxton vs. Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey vs. Rihanna, Patti LaBelle vs. Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan vs. Christina Aguilera feuds.  ”Walk On By” singer took the hot seat from the hosts about her contempt for younger singers.  Even, Simmons and McClendon threw their own semi-annoying jabs at Janet Jackson’s voice and anyone who came for Beyonce, but not the voiceover who made the “Single Ladies” entertainer sound very unintelligent.

Hurry up and press play below to enjoy part one of the series finale of “Got 2B Real.”

BLACK GAYS ROCK!!! 50 Most Impressionable, Influential & Inspirational Black LGBT Personalities Of 2012 (Pt. 2)

Will Williams

Black Gays Rock 4

When noticing that more than 37,000 people read BLACK GAYS ROCK!!! 50 Most Impressionable, Influential & Inspirational Black LGBT Personalities Of 2012 (Pt. 1) that debuted on Friday, The G-List Society could not be any happier than to unveil the top 20 people of 2012.  Again, there will be a couple of surprises that are on this list as well as not making the entire top 50. The top two slots would not have been your guess on this list or picks until you read and understand why.  With that aside, let’s set egos aside and celebrate the people who really made huge impressions in 2012.

Drum roll please…

50-WassupNATL

20. Wassup N ATL and founder/CEO Mario Harris (party promoter)

For the past decade, the Black gay/lesbian party scenes have seen so many great promoting groups’ come and go over disbanding associates, greed, retirement or lack of community interest to the point that people cannot keep up with what or who is new and current in the scene.  Since 2002, Wassup N ATL has become a fixture in Atlanta’s social scene with weekly parties and pride events that revelers gather until capacity.  Harris now travels the Wassup N ATL brand with “Invasion” events that extend to additional major cities including Washington DC, New York and Charlotte.

50-DeBorah

19. De’Borah (singer/TV star)

This beautifully gifted singer from Chicago stole the hearts of America this fall as the somewhat shy yet very personable talent who graced the hit TV singing competition “The Voice.”  De’Borah instantly inspired many viewers on the first episode of the season as she revealed her lesbian identity.  Her fans were also enamored with her religious family’s support.  The media could not get enough of De’Borah, her talent, her fashion and her charisma up until the very episode where coach Christina Aguilera [wrongfully] eliminated her [in favor one of least impressionable contestants].  The future seems bright for this Chicago songbird who avows her love of karaoke and cites Ellen DeGeneres as her fashion inspiration.

THE BUZZ: Lil’ Mo Headlines WassupNDC’s Black Friday Memorial Day Bash

SAVE THE DATE

Mario Harris and his crew from WassupNATL will host their annual DC takeover during Memorial Weekend, and like every year, they go big as their parties pack by the hundreds.  During their Black Friday party, the men pulled all stop for a hot party by bringing R&B/hip-hop princess Lil’ Mo to headline the show.  Earlier this week, we posted an interview of the “Superwoman Pt. II” singer with our friends at The Skorpion Show.  The buzz generated from that show and the Black Friday bash make that perfect opportunity for a real Lil’ Mo comeback.

We will be there in spirit, but if you will be attending Chocolate City Pride out there, make sure you hit that party up.  These are the same men who will bring “Single” singing sensation Terrell Carter to their Sunday party.
