@DonnieDuRight, @TerrryTorro @davey_darko Star In New Web Series “No Shade”

No Shade cast

2012 has been a banner year for LGBT-themed web series, especially featuring people of color.  Some have been featuring on The G-List Society website. and the viewers’ responses have been overwhelmingly great.  Apparently, the clamorous supports of shows like “Between Women” and “Drama Queenz” have inspired new shows to come out.

One that I am very excited about is an upcoming series titled “No Shade.”  While the title may seem atypical of the Black LGBT community, get into the cast.  Two of my favorite online personalities Donnie DuRight and Terry Torro are starring along fresh faces Juss Tamara and lead actor David Brandyn.

The show centers around a young struggling artist Noel Baptiste (Brandyn) in Brooklyn, NY who is pursuing success in his passion while becoming comfortable in his own sexuality.  He has three colorful friends – classically trained dancer Kori (DuRight), urban trendsetter Erik (Torro) and trans-female social queen Danielle (Tamara) – who have no problem with steering their friend in the right direction, or so they think.

Donnie DuRight Asks Is It OK To Find Love At The Clinic?

Donnie DuRight2

Where do people normally find their dates: nightclubs, bars, parties, networking, gyms, etc?  Never mind that.  Where would be a strange place to find love, a health clinic?

Get into this thought-provoking video by our “keeping it real” YouTube personality Donnie DuRight.  While the topics of finding love and dating quickly become overdone with nothing notably different mention, DuRight offers a fresh spin that might make you gasp.  The New York personality asks not only would one date a person who discloses his health status as HIV+, but would one meet a date inside a health clinic.  Before you clutch your pearls and close your mind to shun the thought as disgusting or embarrassing, listen to DuRight’s practical philosophy on the subject and understand why there could be safety in meeting a date inside a health clinic.

“Goons Vs. Gays” Deliver Hilarious Memorial Weekend Parody

Goons Vs Gays 4-1

During our Memorial weekend break, we had to check out the latest “Goons Vs. Gays” webisode where Donnie DuRight and Terry Torro ham it up for the Memorial weekend festivities.  We laughed in hysterics as the New York twosome gave us the parody for the gods on how the gays and goons get ready to hit up Miami for the holiday weekend festivities.  Check out the hilarity below, and do not act like any of their antics are not familiar amongst you and your friends.

Donnie DuRight Celebrates Mother’s Day Episode With Momma DuRight

Donnie & Momma DuRight2

You gotta love this Mother’s Day special of Donnie DuRight’s show.  Donnie bring his mother, Momma DuRight, on his show as a co-host to dish on TV shows and reality TV stars.  While both are avid lovers of the new hit TV show “Scandal,” they are divided about the outrageous behaviors that happened on “Basketball Wives.”  Regardless of whether their tastes differ or share similarities, their mother-son bond is so evident that the can read each other minds on what is going to be said.  It is very endearing to watch.

Plus, we have to give it up to Momma DuRight because homegirl kept it 100% on how she would handle a chick that steps to her.

Check out the fun video below.

Donnie DuRight Cracks On His Hoarse Voice, Basketball Wives & Glee

Donnie Du Right3

We love us some Donnie DuRight, the YouTube sensation who produced and starred in the “Goons Vs. Gays” series.  The New Yorker started his new YouTube series “2 Much 4 Brunch” where he shares his thoughts on modern pop culture and his own life while sipping mimosas.  He doesn’t miss a beat which his one-liners and comedic shades as he goes off.

In this latest episode, DuRight talks about his disdain over his fans’ obsessions with “Basketball Wives.”  We agree.  He really goes in with all kinds of shade on Evelyn Lozada, Royce Reed and company about their behaviors and women jumping all over their friends’ lovers when they meet them.

Donnie also have many good one-liners over his deep, hoarse voice.  He even had the nerve to call his voice “transgender realness.”  LMBGAO

The best comic jabs are saved for the hit TV musical series “Glee.”  The show just aired its tribute to Whitney Houston.  We didn’t watch it because we knew the singers were incapable of giving the discography of the “Run To You” singer justice.  Donnie lamented over it saying that the legendary diva is probably rolling in her grave waiting to kick the asses of everyone who is butchering her songs, especially karaoke singers.  We love it.
