@TasiasWord (Fantasia) Sh*ts On Her Black Gay Fans On Marriage Equality

Fantasia

Fantasia

Be honest for just a second.  The reason why “Free Yourself” songstress Fantasia still has any relevancy is because the Black gays, especially in Atlanta and Washington DC, are booking her for every other Black gay pride celebration and buying her CDs.  The Black gay (male) population has been the #1 supporters of the R&B singer from North Carolina since her win on the hit television series “American Idol” back in 2004.

As with most of the random things that the Black gay community runs to co-sign to validate themselves, their unyielding support of the “Collard Greens & Cornbread” singer backfired. Yesterday, an Instagram photo message that Fantasia spread about being against gay marriage became viral.  The whoring Jezebel, whose first child was born out of wedlock and second born out of wedlock to a married man, gets “mad” at the world because she feels like she is being judged as a loose woman with no morals and low self-esteem.  She shoots back at “the world” by admonishing them for supporting gay marriage and weed legalization.

That is right!  Fantasia showed her true feelings about the very Black gay community who kept her working when she cannot get a gig beyond the chitlin’ circuit.  Check her Instagram message below.

@ErnestPierce’s Underwear Scene Steals On @DTLATheSeries Premiere Episode According To Twitter

Ernest Pierce3

Though the results on social media were mixed about the new TV series “DTLA” debut on LOGO this Wednesday, there was one clear stand out in the show’s first episode.  Viewers salivated over the unintentionally hot scene where Stefan (played by Ernest Pierce) engaged in an intense conversation with his best friend Lenny (played by Darryl Stephens) over the state of Lenny’s suspicions of his lover Bryan’s unusual activities which may lead up to cheating.  In the conversation, Stefan arrogantly boasts about his own boyfriend Trey (played by JC  Jones) is disposable when he fails to hold his weight financially in the household.

The scene-stealing moment had little to do with the troubling conversation between Stefan and Lenny, but rather what Stefan wore during the phone call.  I am unable to provide or locate a screen picture, but imagine this.  A tall, well-sculpted masculine male with a richly dark [and seemingly smooth] complexion wearing nothing but a pair of the boldest blue boxer briefs caressing every shape of his covered skin including his perfectly round, thick buttocks.  [Excuse me while I must fan myself after giving my best Blanche Devereaux description of this beautiful actor.  Is he single, by the way???]

If you want the visuals, make sure you catch up on the first episode below or skip to the 28:30 mark.  Also, check a snippet of the Twitter feed below.

TV REVIEW: @DTLATheSeries Gets Mixed Reviews On Twitter; I Agree!

DTLA

Have you watched the highly anticipated TV series “DTLA” on LOGO TV yet?  Well, the season premiere just wrapped up.  Like many LOGO TV viewers, I was looking forward to watching this show.  I must admit that the premiere episode was underwhelming considering the hype that built the anticipation of this show.

The few things I liked about the were the attractive casts, scene locations and…Darryl Stephens’ acting.  Stephens’ acting on “DTLA” matured lightyears ahead of his stint on the cult-classic “Noah’s Arc” series, where I was annoyed with his faux voice and overly soft mannerisms.  Stephens comes across as universally attractive and believable as a lead actor in “DLTA”; though his script, like the rest of the cast, seemed all over the place.  Besides my shallow comment about the cast’s attractiveness, “DTLA” is the first series, in my recent recollection, where an entire ensemble of actors can actually act.

Conversely, the show’s progression and script seemed contrived, uninspiring, scatterbrained…and simply painful to follow.  The first 30 minutes of the show played out to a long and lifeless opening scene, where the plot appeared to be random and figuring out on what idea to run with as the episode carried.  Ultimately, the point of the episode was to center around the challenging relationship between main characters Lenny (Stephens) and Bryan (Matthew Stephen Hendrick).  Thus, the show’s subplots involving the other characters seemed like random fillers.

I will watch next week’s episode before I count this one out.  Hopefully, the script and plots will pick up steam and energize the show to a deserve cast of very talented actors.

On Twitter, the show trended consistently where the reviews upon checking at the show’s 50-minute mark were very mixed.  Many of the earlier Twitter message reviews the show negatively using adjectives such as “boring” “confusing” and “low budget.”  Upon the closing of the first episode, positive commentators saved their assessments until then.

Check them out.

Oprah Winfrey Tweets Lonnell Williams Of 3LWTV

Lonnell Williams

We always believe that the greatest things happen to good people, and Lonnell Williams of 3LWTV is one of our favorite people because of the wonderful work in media he does to highlight the best in the Black LGBT community.  Because of 3LWTV’s longevity and Lonnell’s popularity as an interviewer within the Black LGBT community, many fans have affectionately nicknamed as the “Oprah Winfrey of the Black gays.”  On social media, Williams has made no secret that he is a fan of the TV media queen.

On Twitter, Williams shares with his followers about watching several television programs that he views weekly on Oprah’s OWN network.  Apparently, some of his postings on the quotes taken from OWN’s shows has caught Ms. Winfrey’s attention, and to Williams’ surprise, Winfrey has contacted the media personality herself through Facebook and Twitter. How exciting is that?

Check out some of the messages and conversations between Oprah and Lonnell below.
